Nvidia update for Discord bug: How will it work
As per the tweet, Nvidia has claimed that Windows will automatically download an app profile update the next time users log into their PC. Users won’t have to manually download a graphics driver or other software update to fix the Discord-related issue.
Earlier, users had to apply this bug fix manually and the process involved several steps. In the manual scenario, users had to download a profile manager and then export, edit, and re-import their profiles. However, this app profile update will now download automatically when you log into Windows. The company has also claimed that his update will patch the Discord bug.
Discord bug in Nvidia GPUs: How was it affecting performance
According to a report by Engadget, the Discord bug in Nvidia GPUs was first spotted and documented by Reddit and other community forum users. The issue started appearing after a new update rolled out for the Discord platform that added AV1 codec support.
This new codec will allow RTX 40 series GPU users to stream their gameplay at up to 4K and 60 frames per second on Discord Nitro. The bug reportedly didn’t affect the RTX 40 series cards. However, NVIDIA soon addressed the issue and provided users with a temporary workaround.
