In the season of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other similar chatbots, a Software Development Engineer (SDE) working with Google has developed what he says is a ‘Bhagvat Gita’ chatbot, and named it ‘Gita GPT.’

Sukuru Sai Vineet, a BITS Pilani alumnus and an entrepreneur, came up with the concept on Jan 28, and the chatbot was up the same day.
Here’s what Gita GPT does:
(1.) Though currently down for maintenance, Gita GPT, according to Vineet, takes references from the Bhagavad Gita to generate answers for life issues.

(2.) For example, to the question ‘What is the meaning of Life?’ it gave the following answer: “The meaning of life is to strive from liberation from old age and death, taking refuge in God and realising Brahman (Universe), the knowledge of Self and all action.’
(3.) Powered by GPT-3 (ChatGPT is powered by GPT 3.5), the artificial intelligence (AI) app, after being asked a question, analyses the lecture of the Bhagavad Gita that is in accordance with the question, and answers the query.
(4.) On Gita GPT, Vineet is also seeking ‘Bhiksham’ (donations) to run the app. In his words, “Spreading the word of Dharma is, unfortunately, not free.”
(5.) Those interested can donate any small amount through UPI (BharatPe) or Ethereum (digital currency).
