CES 2023: Acer refreshes Swift lineup with Swift Go, Swift X14 and Swift 14 – Times of India

Acer has refreshed the Swift lineup of laptops with a new addition – the Swift Go – and also announced a follow-up to the Swift X14 and Swift 14 with the new Intel 13th gen processors. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Acer Swift laptops.

The Swift Go series – the Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 – comes with 13th gen Intel Core H-series processors, with Intel Evo certification and support for Intel Unison. The Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 promise a battery life of more than 9.5 hours. The two laptops offer support for up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD and up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM.
The Swift Go 16 and 14 features a USB C port with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 port, and a microSD card reader. Further, the laptops support WiFI 6E.
The Swift Go 16 features a 16-inch 3.2K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Swift Go 14 has a 14-inch 2.8K OLED panel having a refresh rate of 90Hz. The OLED panel on both laptops has a 16:10 aspect ratio, a peak brightness of 500 nits, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and Vesa DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Further, both laptops come with TUV Rheinland Eyesafe display certification.
The Swift Go laptops come with a 1440p webcam with background blur, automatic framing and eye contact. Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) provides high-quality video in low light.
Acer Swift Go comes in a sleek 14.9mm aluminium chassis with a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The 14-inch model weighs less than 1.3kg while the 16-inch variant weighs around 1.6kg.
The Swift Go laptops come with an upgraded TwinAir dual fan system, dual D6 copper heat pipes and an air-inlet keyboard to manage the thermals while boosting the performance.
The Swift Go 16 and 14 features a USB C port with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 port and microSD card reader.

Acer Swift X14 features a 13th generation Intel Core H-series processor and comes in an option for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU. The Swift X14 is optimised for creative work with pre-installed NVIDIA Studio Drivers and are validated by NVIDIA Studio. The laptop also has advanced thermals to keep the internals cool and a redesigned chassis with a larger battery for all-day use.
The laptop features a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display, has a 120 Hz refresh rate, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour range, with VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification and 500-nit peak brightness. It also has a 1080p FHD webcam with Acer PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction. The laptop has various ports, including dual USB Type-C and HDMI 2.1 and a microSD card reader.

The new design of the Swift 14 includes a thin and lightweight CNC-machined unibody chassis made of aerospace-grade aluminium in Mist Green or Steam Blue. The laptop’s diamond-cut edges and double anodized materials give it a premium look, and it is only 14.95 mm thin and weighs 1.2 kg. The OceanGlass touchpad is made from ocean-bound plastic waste.
The Acer Swift 14 comes in two models – both having a 14-inch touchscreen display but in two resolutions: WQXGA (2560×1600) and WUXGA (1920×1200). The display is covered with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass for added durability and scratch resistance and is also treated to prevent the growth of bacteria.
The laptop has a 1440p QHD webcam with TNR technology and dual speakers enhanced with DTS Audio. It also has a fingerprint reader and support for Windows Hello, which allows users to log in securely with just their fingerprint. The laptop has two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and an HDMI 2.1 port.
The Swift 14 laptop features up to 13th generation Intel Core H-series processors and is Intel Evo-certified, and comes with Intel Unison support. It offers a battery life of over 9.5 hours. The laptop’s thermal solutions include an air inlet design and Acer’s TwinAir dual-fan system with D6 copper heat pipes to increase airflow and keep the system cool.
