Tekken director apparently keeps getting requests to add a Waffle House stage

Waffle House is one of the unique American establishments that turned meme. The 24/7 chain is not the only place where you can order a breakfast combo at 3AM, but where unruly customers are known to show up ready to throw their hands (and sometimes chairs). Given its reputation for late-night brawls, it’s the kind of thing that would make a good backdrop for a fighting game like Section 8 – and apparently, fans have been asking. The former leader of Tekken wrote on X this week asking what the deal is with all the Waffle House requests.

Of course, this question was asked before April Fools’ Day, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was all a joke. But now we’re talking…

“Okay, I’ll ask just once about the request,” Harada said. “Why are some areas sending me requests for ‘Waffle House’? Please make sure you explain the basis of the request, including the original story, background and history. I look forward to an explanation from someone who knows more.”

Harada followed with another thanking everyone who has explained to them and saying that they understand, but continued to say: “This restaurant has the trademark and the rights of the restaurant, so if the headquarters of the restaurant refuses to accept what I want, it will not happen.” Waffle House now has a chance to do something funny here.

But that shouldn’t come before Waffle House adequately addresses the concerns of its employees, some of whom have already been. of minimum wage and a . Workers in other places are on strikeand has launched a petition calling for Waffle House to implement changes to improve operations. Until this is resolved, any association with the fighting game would be unpalatable.
