Facebook finally adds video controls like a slide bar


The hype surrounding Facebook Live may be a thing of the past, but Meta is still trying to make the platform better. The company has announced a New video player to show Reels, long-form content and live videos on the Facebook app.

One of the biggest changes is that everything Facebook videos it will now appear on all screens – even in landscape mode. Videos will play vertically, but you can tilt your phone on its side to view horizontally across your device.

Like most videos on TikTok, Facebook it will now provide a downloader at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to quickly skip through the video. These updates also bring some of the features that are changed like Netflix in their programs, such as the option to skip forward or backward by 10 seconds. Meta says you will get it now “Very relevant videos“of full length that appear in the video section and in your feed. The company will also be increasing the number of Reels shown on Facebook.

The video is also rolling out to Android and iOS users in the United States and Canada, with new updates coming in the next few weeks. All updates should be available globally in the coming months.
