Keanu Reeves has been in a lot of movies and almost everyone can say “whoa” at least once. Now, a web developer has created a site where you can listen to every Reeves whoa out there.

Page whoa.onrender.com builds on the work launched by YouTuber “Owenergy” who, in 2018, posted video which included the Reeves that had been done so far. The film, which is six minutes long, chronicles Reeves’ films from 1986 to the present day. Now, whoa.onrender has updated these whoas and made them accessible via JSON APIs that can be integrated into web pages. The site also has a rotating “whoa” player, which includes audio and video clips of each Reeves whoa.

This page was created by Website designer Avi Mamenko. Mamenko says that “some of the ‘whoa’ scenes in Owenergy’s YouTube video may appear out of order or read incorrectly – these errors are corrected in this API. Keanu Reeves also reported additional “awhoas” in movies released after 2016, which were also included in the API Mamenko puts the total number of Reeves whoahs at 118 during this period.

After going through Keanu’s voice over and over again, my favorite has to be the 1980s comedy. Before the Night Comes. I’ve never seen this movie and it looks really stupid (the trailer shows a small scene where Reeves accidentally appears they sell her cheerleader friend for a Los Angeles pimp named “Tito”). Reeves’ whoa from this movie is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever heard in my life. It sounds like the noise a quadruped outside would make if it were trying to learn English for the first time.

Anyway, good job Mr. Mamenko. You have done an important job for us. The most important work in the history of writing the Reeves whoa library continues.
