Texas Escalates Its War on Porn

Pornhub has already left Texas like the pizza guy rushing to work after delivering a “special” to a lonely housewife. It looks like the Lone Star State wants to run two famous pornographic sites out of the way.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued Xhamster and Chaturbate for breaking the law government age verification lawto a Press release Thursday. Paxton says he wants to order these websites, and if companies don’t comply with federal laws, they could be fined “$10,000 per day, an additional $10,000 per day if the organization stores false information, and $250,000 if a child is exposed to pornography for not verifying the user’s age.”

Multi Media LLC (Chaturbate’s parent company) and Hammy Media (controller of Xhamster) did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Aylo, the parent company of Pornhub and its sister sites, pulled out of Texas last week and left Texans with few sites to find their favorite porn. Those in the Lone Star State who try to visit Aylo’s website will see a message from the company stating that age verification laws are “useless, arbitrary, and dangerous.”

Texas is one of nine states that have passed similar laws on prostitution. Montana, North Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi, Utah, Louisiana, Virginia, and Indiana have laws on the books that have caused prostitution companies to leave other states.

To no one’s surprise, VPNs are needed after Pornhub leaves Texas. Searches for VPNs in Texas soared after the porn giant was banned, and Express VPN reported a 48% increase in the number of people living in Texas last week.
