Should Israel be pressured by the US to end the war in Gaza? | | Israel’s war in Gaza

Palestinian politician Mustafa Barghouti and US professor Ian Lustick have criticized Biden’s refusal to end the war in Gaza.

All of Israel’s current wars have ended with US intervention, but the war in Gaza has been going on for half a year because “Biden is a slow learner”, says University of Pennsylvania political analyst Ian Lustick.

Israel needs an outside power to hold it accountable when it cannot achieve its goals. “It is because the goals of war are political, and the military cannot achieve them,” said Lustick.

Lustick and Palestinian politician Mustafa Barghouti talk to Steve Clemons about current events and the debate in the Democratic Party in the United States.
