Russia is preparing 100,000 troops to join this summer, Ukraine says

Russia is mobilizing 100,000 troops before the summer, a senior Ukrainian military official said on Friday.

“We don’t know Russia’s plans enough. We only know what they have and what they are doing. They are making groups – more than 100,000,” Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk. he said on Ukrainian TV.

“It can’t be disappointing. Maybe they will use it to restore their forces that are losing their military power,” he said.

“But there is a possibility that by the beginning of the summer, he might have the strength to do offensive things on one side,” he added.

In preparation for a possible attack, Ukraine has begun withdrawing some of its forces to restore its military strength, Pavliuk continued.
