The news of the demise of the legendary filmmaker K Viswanath came as a shock. Many Indian celebrities took to social media to pay their emotional tributes to the director.
Celebrities such as Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, Anil Kapoor, Allu Arjun, Rakesh Roshan and Radikaa Sarathkumar were some who took to Twitter and paid their tributes in remembrance of the filmmaker.
Veteran actor Kamal Haasan who had previously worked with Viswanath tweeted, “Salute to a master” with a handwritten letter penned by Haasan himself that read, “Kalathapasvi K Viswanath fully understood the transience of life and immortality of art. Hence, his art will be celebrated beyond his lifetime and reign. Long live his art. An ardent fan, Kamal Haasan.”
Chiranjeevi Konidela who has worked with Viswanath in Swayam Krushi, Subhalekha and Aapadbhandavadu, tweeted, “Shocked beyond words! Shri K Viswanath’s loss is an irreplaceable void to Indian or Telugu Cinema and to me personally! Man of numerous iconic, timeless films! The Legend Will Live on! Om Shanti.”

Telugu actress Radikaa Sarathkumar who has also worked with the legend in Swathi Kiranam and Swathi Muthyam, tweeted, “K Viswanath garu…shanti to a legend. A person in his own way leaves a huge vacuum of his art and thinking. Who made films with a purpose. who was the calm in a storm. Will miss you dearly.”

Allu Arjun also paid his condolences through a tweet that read, “Master of the Craft. One of my favorite directors of all time. Teacher for every actor. Pride of Indian cinema Vishawanath garu no more. He left us but his Masterpieces will live on forever. Rest in Peace guruji.”

Taking to twitter Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor stated, “K Vishwanath Ji you taught me so much, being on set with you during Eeshwar was like being in a temple…RIP My Guru.” He also posted two sets of photos. In one of the images, Anil Kapoor is taking blessings from K Viswanath.

Rakesh Roshan also tweeted, “The loss of Shri K. Viswanath ji is deeply personal. Whatever I am, is because of his teachings. My condolences to his family, I stand with you all in mourning the loss of a gem. Forever in my heart. Om shanti.”

K Viswanath is a legendary filmmaker who is a Dadasaheb Phalke awardee and has won many other awards in his career. The veteran director passed away at the age of 92.
