In an interview, Ayan Mukerji stated that the development on future Brahmastra films will begin when the first installment is out. The first film of the planned fantasy trilogy, Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva, will be released on September 9.
Soon after the first teaser for the film was released earlier this week, fans began speculating on the clues that the first film seemed to leave regarding the franchise’s future. Some even claimed to have seen cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Deepika’s superpowered character is said to be the centrepiece of the second instalment of the series. The presence of Shah Rukh Khan in the first film has long been speculated, and it has lately been reported that Madhuri Dixit and Ranveer Singh may also appear in the film.
After the release of Brahmastra in September, Ayan told The Times of India that they will ‘plan the shooting of the second and third parts. ‘He stated that the trilogy “will tell the same story,” but that each film “would introduce new characters” and add various perspectives to the overall narrative.
Ayan previously stated that he intends to establish a Marvel-style shared universe with Brahmastra. The film was shot over a five-year period.
The initial trailer, which was heavily reliant on CGI, received mixed reviews. While some people admired the project’s magnitude, others thought it was too Western-inspired. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy appear in the film.
