The iPhone Watch app also gives you the option to select specific apps for your iPhone that will be installed on the Apple Watch. I think this is more useful than just letting Watch Watch install any affiliate program, as it could mean you have 12 apps to check on your watch to see if they are useful or not. Instead, I like to go through the list and decide if there are any benefits to having these programs in my hands. When it comes to software like Google Maps or Ecobee for adjusting my thermostats, it’s a definite yes. But things like Etsy or Bank of America are not clear on the watch. And if you change your mind, you can either uninstall the app from the Watch app or long-press it in the grid view and uninstall it – just remember that this will uninstall the app on your Watch but not on your iPhone.

Look at the face

If you are an Apple Music user, you can monitor downloaded music through the Watch app on your iPhone. Open it and go to the “Music” section and you will see a big button to add music to your watch. There are also tunes that just download albums and playlists that you have recently heard – open and you will always have music in your hands.
It’s easy to choose the exact albums or playlists you want to save, too. Just tap the main add-on button and you will see your Apple Music library. From there, just navigate to what you want, click another button and it will be downloaded to your watch. Note that music only moves when your Clock is charging, so you have to remove it by hand to sync.
If you are using Spotify, just watch the music, playlist or podcast on your phone and click on the three-button icon – you will see the “Download on Apple Watch” option there. Then, on your watch, there is a well-marked “download” section where you can play without a connection.

Like most Apple products, the Apple Watch has a lot of functionality and complexity hidden under its easy-to-use location.
