As Oklahoma plans to assassinate Julius Jones, convicted murderer businessman Paul Howell, Kim Kardashian continues to fight for his life. Here’s what we know.

Here are five things you need to know about Julius’ case and Kim’s support.
Julius was a 19-year-old student when the assassination took place.
He was on his way to Oklahoma University and was about to receive a basketball course when he became increasingly skeptical of Howell’s shooting, according to OU every day. Arrested in Aug. 1999 and later convicted of the first murder and sentenced to death in 2002, at just 22 years old. Since then, he has been imprisoned and continues to plead not guilty while awaiting his future.
Why is Julius on the death row?
Before Julius was arrested and charged, Howell was shot in the 1997 GMC Suburban in Edmond, OK, less than 20 miles from Julius’ home. Powell’s sister described the shooter as a “black man with a stocking cap” with “half an inch of hair hanging down,” Julius’s lawyer. Dale Baich he tells OU every day. Three suspects were questioned, and their allegations led Edmond Police to search for Julius and his high school basketball colleague. Christopher Jordan as he allegedly stole the cars that killed Powell.
Although there was no evidence that Julius had been executed, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison and sentenced to death by firing squad.

What happened to Christopher Jordan, an opponent of Julius?
Christopher was sentenced to 30 years in prison after giving evidence before the trial, but he was eventually released after half the time, according to JusticeForJuliusJones.com. “In this and other ways, Jones’ rights under federal and federal laws have been violated, and his sentence and death sentence should be abolished,” the website says.
Christopher also confessed to killing Howell and allowing Julius to plead guilty while in prison, according to a prisoner named Roderick Wesley, who served in the Arkansas prison with Christopher, The Frontier reports. Roderick sent several letters and videos of questions about the legalization of Julius’ lawyers, who are trying to release Julius or remove him from the death seat.
When did Kim Kardashian intervene in Julius’ case?
Kim first mentioned Julius’ case and a request for his release on Twitter in 2019. The following year, in Nov. 2020, went to Julius at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. She went to Instagram share photos in Oklahoma to visit and inform his followers that in addition to seeing Julius, he spoke to his mother, Madeline, with his family at the Baptist church the same day.

I’m so grateful for supporting Julius Jones’ freedom fighters. We will not give up until we get justice.”
What has Julius done to earn mercy?
Julius pleaded for mercy in Oct. 2019 has tried every means to combat the death penalty. “As God is my witness, I did not take part in the crimes that resulted in Paul Howell being shot and killed,” his sympathetic report said.
