Stephen Curry Updates: Will the Warriors star play against the Pistons?

Stephen Curry certainly did not seem to be in much pain as he burned the Cavaliers Thursday night.

The Warriors star, who suffered a hip injury, scored 40 points in a game that Golden State won 104-89 against Cleveland. They went 20 points clear in the fourth quarter, and the Warriors outscored the Cavs 36-8 in that period to win.

Golden State enters the second straight series after winning nine of their last 10 games. The Warriors will face the Pistons in Detroit on Friday night, but will their MVP leader be there to play?

Will Stephen Curry play against the Pistons?

HISTORY: In a televised appearance on Thursday, Curry admitted that his hips were still hurting and he saw that he had received a test from a medical team. Curry suffered a left thigh Tuesday against the Nets as he climbed in front of Brooklyn star James Harden and straightened out. He was selected on suspicion of going to Thursday’s race, and was later changed to a possible candidate.

“The case was a little confusing to me, so I’m just trying to deal with it a little bit,” Curry said. “So, we’ll see what it will be like when I wake up.”

After the matchup with the Pistons on Friday, the Warriors will return to the Chase Center to fight the Raptors on Sunday.

Through 15 games, Curry gets 29.5 points, 6.5 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game with 46.3 / 41.9 / 95.8 shots (field goals / 3-pointers / free throws). He is currently in a hurry to break his 3-point single record.
