Three drivers, including the winner of Saturday night’s race at Richmond Raceway, have secured a place in Round 12 of the NASCAR 2021 Cup Series after the first two rounds of Round 16.
Martin Truex Jr. teamed up with Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin in the second round of winning the Salute of Federated Auto Parts 400 for Beginners. Truex defeated Hamlin runner by 1.317 seconds. Hamlin won the first round of the final last week in Darlington and took the first two rounds of the race on Saturday.

All-season defender Kyle Larson made his second appearance. Driver Hendrick Motorsports received after the Phase 2 take point.
Playoff drivers go round and round to the next level by winning the race. All other final locations are set by point. Four drivers will be fired after the third and final round of Round 16, Bass Pro Shops Night Race in Bristol on September 18th.

Who won the NASCAR competition yesterday?
Martin Truex Jr. made two Joe Gibbs Racing drivers in Round 12 with his success. Truex fought the battle from passing penalty for jumping off the start of the match ahead of Hamlin. who received the seizure when Larson was sent to the back that his car failed to inspect twice. Truex team claimed that Hamlin designed his tires.
“It was frustrating, I didn’t lie,” Truex said, at NASCAR.com. “But I know we have enough car to deal with. One of the things you have to get out of your mind is go for a run. More on the line tonight.”
Truex took the lead after piercing the green flag in Phase 3. He led the final 51 times. The winning chance was opened when teammate Kyle Busch was punished for speeding on the road. Hamlin drove Truex to the checkered flag.
Hamlin told NBCSN that he needed “more” to get rid of his colleague.

“Go to Bristol and know we’re closed for good,” Larson told NBCSN’s Marty Snider.
On the other hand, the four drivers under the Round of 12 cut line now are Alex Bowman, Tyler Reddick, William Byron and Michael McDowell. Bowman is tied with Kurt Busch at the final.

NASCAR results from Richmond
Drivers of the Joe Gibbs Racing playoff swept the top three places in the Round 16 race: Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell. Another Gibbs driver, Kyle Busch, left the scene at the end of Ninth and finished second in Stage 2.
Playoff champions Chase Elliott and Joey Logano finished the top five. Elliott, a defensive player, moved three places from 10 to 7 on the block.
The loser of the night was Kurt Busch, who finished last with 40 hits in the race. The left rear tire of the Busch car crashed, causing the car to be nailed to the outer wall. Busch fell from fourth in the standings with a tie by Alex Bowman in the final.
“Something happened with the back left, it stopped,” Busch told NASCAR.com. “It has left our points and left our entire season right now. I don’t know what we will do in Bristol other than win.”
The third and final Round of 16 is the Bass Pro Shops Night Race in Bristol, scheduled for Saturday, September 18 (7:30 pm ET; NBCSN, TSN, PRN. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
