USWNT vs. Paraguay: A concept of life, change, reflection of global friendship

The U.S. women’s team returns to their first game since the end of the 2021 Olympics, when they were knocked out by a bronze medal on August 5. The first match in its four post-Olympic games comes against Paraguay on Thursday night in Cleveland.

The game features the first American-level summit with South America, which is ranked 50th in the world. USWNT, which held its No. 1 spot despite finishing third in the Tokyo Games, hopes to expand their top 20 list in the house.

With the Olympics in the rear view mirror, the USA’s goal is now running for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand. Qualifying for the divisions will begin in July 2022 at the CONCACAF W. Championship.
