Wrexham AFC is a non-playing club in the fifth round of the English football pyramid (the most popular Premier League above), which means they are unlikely to participate in FIFA matches. Fortunately for Wrexham, not just any club, but (professionally Wales) team affiliated with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney – that’s why it’s so far away inside FIFA 22.
Wrexham, based in Wales but playing in the English National Soccer League, will appear in Kick Off mode in the “Rest of the World” category. The section includes a portfolio of clubs that are known for some reason but are not members of the major leagues sponsored by FIFA. EA signed a multi-year contract with the club that includes “promises to the Wrexham club and its fans,” the company said.
The story came out early as Wrexham appeared on the list of all teams in FIFA 22, e.g. Chasing reports. Some international clubs may be interested in the decision, but Wrexham bring a good reputation with Reynolds as its owner. “All the World” is an important part of the culture, climate and recreational areas.
