The Gates placed their left leg before being thrown into the locker room. The old man smiled at times as he waved to the fans who delighted him in helping him.

An explosion occurred later.

Gates, 25, is in his fourth NFL season after being signed by the Giants from Nebraska in 2018. He missed the 2018 season due to a preseason foot injury.

He started in the middle, guarding right and right when he was on duty, and was in charge Thursday night.
